– Says Arsene Wenger and Arsenal may be heading for a divorce
Former Arsenal striker Ian Wright has stated that Arsenal coach Arsene Wenger may be shown the exit door of the club if the team continues with the poor run of form.

Wenger has been under heavy criticisms lately from supporters who feel hurt that the Gunners have once again lost the English Premier League title.

Instead, Leicester City are now 11 points ahead of Arsenal at the top, while their North London rivals, Tottenham, occupy the second spot.

Odion Ighalo’s brilliant strike and Adlene Guedioura’s goal ensured Wenger’s men were knocked out of the FA Cup on Sunday March 13, a defeat which deemed the Gunners chances of silverware this season.

Ian Wright believes if care is not taken, Wenger could be ousted from his position.

He said: “It hurts so much to even think it; but it feels like Arsene Wenger and Arsenal are heading for divorce.

“Judging from the way the fans have reacted over the past week, that’s the impression I get. I’m sure when that day arrives it will all be amicable and friendly, although it does leave a horrible feeling in the stomach right now.”

Meanwhile, Dani Alves says Barcelona sold Alexis Sanchez to Arsenal in 2014 because he did not adapt his game to their style of play.

Sanchez enjoyed three successful years at the Nou Camp, winning six trophies after joining from Serie A side Udinese in 2011.

Despite the general belief that Sanchez could have achieved more at the Catalans, Dani Alvez rejected claims that the Chilean failed at Barcelona.
