The little boy and girl can be seen in the back of a car with grey duct tape around their hands and on their mouths while one of them visibly has tears in their eyes.
The caption was also disturbing: “Kids for sale, 45 per cent because they bad.”
The picture sparked outrage on the social networking site. And Memphis Police Department (MPD) have launched an investigation into the snap. In addition to MPD, other state departments are also investigating the photo.
One user was left speechless when they saw the photo. He wrote: “I could not breathe. It took my breath away, caused extreme emotional distress. These are children. These are human beings.” Jaton Justsilly Jaibabi has since deactivated the account.
But the woman’s cousin, named Derion King, claims the photo was all just a joke. Read his answer below:
I don't really to much care about the people they have opinions. Our family and friends know the love we have for all the kids in our family it's just crazy that out of a whole lifetime they judge a person off of this one event. Basically a joke at the moment that people just went overboard about. People make mistakes and that's what this situation is, a lesson learned. They are safe, unharmed, and loved that's all it is to it.
